As the story begins, four Iowa women arrive at a north-woods cabin to drink some wine, share some laughs and discuss their club’s latest book. But as with many book clubs, the book gets tossed aside in favor of juicier subjects – in the women’s case, the men they left behind. Middle-aged Meg and her 20-something daughter Ellie are each cagey about their new romantic prospects while Carol is anything but. She and her husband have been trying so diligently to have a baby that her mom has taken to texting suggestions about effective baby-making positions. Dot is the oldest of the four women and a child of the 60s who, might question why the women seem so preoccupied with men, especially since the women are plenty entertaining on their own. Be prepared to laugh.
